******* 2017 Scholarships *******

Applications must be submitted by 10/1!

For 2017 SKHI will be offering a first, once in a lifetime opportunity!  In addition to offering our fall harness to an essay winner, we will also be offering a once in a lifetime hunt.

October 7th and 8th.  SKHI Leaders will mentor a new graduate on this hunt for Wisconsin's Cherished Whitetail.  The hunt will occur in the rolling hills of Southern Wisconsin.  The winner will be able to harvest the deer of their choice, under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

Scholarship Details:

Please provide a written essay to

Essay topic will be-  "How I can help others learn about being 'safe in a treestand' and how I plan to encourage friends and family to be safe.  Also speak to why this treestand safety is so important.

Essay need be no more than 500 words.

SKHI is committed to ensuring that all youth are safe in their treestands!  We recognize that not every child and family has the resources necessary to purchase quality safety equipment and as such, are committed to scholarship efforts that make harnesses available to those who might not otherwise be able to afford them.

2017 SKHI Scholarship Announcement

We are very excited to announce the 2017 SKHI Scholarship for new hunter education graduates!  This year, we are bringing a once in a lifetime chance to One lucky scholarship recipient!

SKHI is awarding this years recipient with a fully mentored, 2 day, Wisconsin Youth Deer Hunt, on Private Land in Southern Wisconsin, where the winner will have an opportunity to harvest the deer of their choice, while learning how to practice hunting safely with mentors who are educators in the hunting industry!
