Establish Use of Harnesses

Establish Use of Harnesses

  • 1 in 3 Hunters will experience a fall from a treestand
  • Safety Harnesses are a proven method of preventing falls
  • Mandatory fall reporting (by medical staff) will provide significant research/data to support utilization of Safety Harnesses.
  • The data obtained will aid in promoting guidelines for adolescence to adhere to, when hunting from an elevated platform.
  • By establishing new hunting guidelines for individuals under age 18, a culture of safety will be developed.
